Samsung Electronics' NAND flash memory factory in Xi'an, China recently completed the upgrade of its ninth generation V-NAND production line, further increasing the number of vertical stacking layers and reducing unit storage costs. The Xi'an factory is one of Samsung's most important flash memory manufacturing bases overseas. This upgrade will help Samsung maintain cost competitiveness in the consumer and enterprise SSD markets. For customers in the Asia Pacific region, localized manufacturing also means shorter supply cycles and more flexible stocking responses.
