Recently, top domestic terminal manufacturers have finalized a three-year long-term locked price supply contract for DRAM with Nanya. The contract sets a minimum supply price and no price limit for price increases. The strict supplier oriented agreement this time sends a clear industry signal: there is a shortage of stable storage sources available for downstream terminals, and they are forced to make concessions in order to prioritize maintaining production capacity and supply; Samsung and SK Hynix are tilting their production capacity towards HBM high-end memory, while DDR4 general-purpose DRAM production capacity is shrinking. South Asia Technology has become a key supplier.

With the addition of new production capacity by South Asia Technology, it is expected that production will not begin until 2028. The supply and demand gap of mature process DRAM is difficult to alleviate in the short term, and the structural shortage pattern of storage materials will be maintained in the medium and long term. Storage manufacturers have now taken the initiative in long-term contract pricing, and industry long-term agreements are generally moving towards a new model of "limited price but not limited price".
